The NFL has suspended Los Angeles Rams left tackle Alaric Jackson for two games without pay, Yahoo NFL, ProFootballTalk, and CBS NFL reported. The disciplinary action follows a postgame incident where Jackson struck Buffalo Bills linebacker Bradley Chubb in the face at midfield following Buffalo's 37-34 overtime victory at SoFi Stadium on Monday night, according to Yahoo NFL, Yahoo Sports Top, ProFootballTalk, and CBS NFL. [1][2][3][4][6]

ESPN cameras captured the confrontation, which occurred as Jackson exchanged jerseys with Bills defensive lineman Deone Walker, ProFootballTalk and Yahoo Sports Top reported. ProFootballTalk noted that Chubb appeared to say something to Jackson before Jackson threw a right hook to Chubb's face. Rams tight end Colby Parkinson then stepped in, according to ProFootballTalk. [3][6]

Jackson, who played college football for the Iowa Hawkeyes, is a professional offensive tackle for the Los Angeles Rams, according to Wikipedia. Prior to the discipline, Yahoo Sports Top reported that Jackson was arrested in June on suspicion of felony domestic violence. [5][13]

Under the suspension terms, Jackson will miss upcoming games against the Arizona Cardinals and the Las Vegas Raiders, according to ProFootballTalk and CBS NFL. CBS NFL reported that he will be eligible to return to the active roster on Monday, Oct. 26. ProFootballTalk noted that Jackson can appeal the suspension, which would be heard by either Derrick Brooks, Jordy Nelson, Ron Rivera, or James Thrash. [3][4]
