The NFL suspended Los Angeles Rams left tackle Alaric Jackson for two games following a postgame altercation with Buffalo Bills edge rusher Bradley Chubb, CBS Sports, the BBC, and The New York Times reported. The incident occurred near midfield after the Bills defeated the Rams 37-34 in overtime on Monday night, according to Yahoo Sports Top. [1][3][6][10][11]

Television cameras, including ESPN broadcasts, captured Jackson throwing a punch and making contact with Chubb's face during postgame jersey exchanges, Yahoo Sports Top and CBS Sports reported. Associated Press coverage carried by Yahoo Sports Top noted that Chubb walked away from the exchange after saying something emphatic to Jackson. [1][3][6][9]

Jackson will miss the Rams' Week 6 game against the Arizona Cardinals and their Week 7 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, CBS Sports reported. He will be eligible to return to the active roster on Monday, Oct. 26, and his first game back is scheduled for Nov. 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers, according to CBS Sports. [1]

Jackson is a Canadian and American professional football offensive tackle who played college football for the Iowa Hawkeyes before joining the Los Angeles Rams. Chubb is an outside linebacker and former first-round draft pick who played college football for the NC State Wolfpack before spending time with the Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins prior to joining the Buffalo Bills.
