Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams logged his second consecutive full practice on Thursday, but he said he does not know if he will return for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons. CBS NFL, ProFootballTalk, and Yahoo NFL all reported that Williams participated fully in practice this week after missing three games with a hamstring injury sustained against the Minnesota Vikings. [1][3][5][6][7]

CBS NFL, Yahoo Sports, and ProFootballTalk reported that Williams confirmed he suffered a pretty serious hamstring tear during a fourth-quarter red-zone scramble in Week 2. Williams stated that previous reports regarding his exact diagnosis were inaccurate and declined to provide specific details on the severity of the tear, according to CBS NFL and Yahoo Sports. [1][3][4]

According to ProFootballTalk, Williams explained that he still has checkpoints to clear and a stress test to pass before medical staff will approve his return to game action. He injured his hamstring on September 20 and has missed the past three games while recovering. [3]

Before playing for the Chicago Bears, Williams played college football at the University of Oklahoma and the University of Southern California, winning the Heisman Trophy in 2022 before entering the National Football League. [13]

CBS NFL reported that Williams remains on track for a potential return in Week 6, though his formal injury designation for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons has not yet been determined. [1]
