Houston Texans finalized Marvin Harrison Jr trade on Friday GM says

Houston Texans general manager Nick Caserio stated that the trade acquiring wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr from the Arizona Cardinals was finalized on Friday evening. ProFootballTalk reported that Caserio addressed the timing during an appearance on Houston radio station 95.7 The Fan. Caserio explained that the Cardinals requested to hold the formal announcement until Sunday. [1]

Caserio clarified that the outcome of Houston's game against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday had no impact on the transaction. ProFootballTalk reported that Caserio dismissed theories suggesting the trade depended on a win, stating that the game had zero bearing on the finalized deal. Harrison was originally selected fourth overall by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2024 NFL draft after playing college football at Ohio State, where he won the Fred Biletnikoff Award in 2023.
