Seattle Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet has been ruled out of Sunday's Week 7 game against the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs, according to reports from CBS NFL and ProFootballTalk. The announcement confirms Charbonnet will not make his season debut this weekend. [1][2][5][6]

The Seahawks activated Charbonnet off the physically unable to perform list on Thursday morning, as Yahoo Sports Top reported. However, the team subsequently assigned him an out status on the injury report for the upcoming matchup against Kansas City, according to NBC Sports and Yahoo Sports Top. [2][3][9]

Charbonnet suffered a torn ACL during the playoffs in January, Yahoo Sports Top reported. As FTMQ Sports reported earlier, head coach Mike Macdonald previously indicated Charbonnet had a good chance to play in Week 7 after ramping up activity following his knee surgery. [2][16]

Charbonnet was selected by the Seahawks in the second round of the 2023 NFL draft following his college career at Michigan and UCLA. Seattle enters the matchup seeking to reverse a two-game losing streak, according to Yahoo Sports Top. [7][13]
