Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley was a limited participant in practice on Friday, according to ProFootballTalk and Yahoo NFL. Barkley is hoping to return to action for Monday night's game against the Dallas Cowboys after missing two consecutive games. Reports differ slightly on the specific nature of his recent injury, with Yahoo Sports Top reporting a hamstring injury sustained in the first quarter against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 4, while Yahoo NFL noted he has missed time due to an ankle injury. ProFootballTalk reported that the Eagles listed five total changes on Friday's official injury report. Outside linebacker Jonathan Greenard was downgraded from limited participation on Thursday to sitting out practice completely on Friday with an ankle injury. The team added offensive tackle Fred Johnson as a limited participant due to illness, while offensive lineman Willie Lampkin returned to limited work after missing Thursday's session with an illness. Offensive lineman Drew Kendall and linebacker AJ Epenesa fully participated in Friday's practice session, ProFootballTalk reported. Both players had previously been limited in their practice work on Thursday as they recover from knee and back issues, respectively. [1]

Barkley was selected in the first round of the NFL draft after playing college football for the Penn State Nittany Lions. As FTMQ Sports reported earlier, the running back was previously ruled out alongside wide receiver DeVonta Smith prior to Philadelphia's Week 5 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.
