Paris Saint-Germain defeated Barcelona 4-2 and Liverpool mounted a 4-3 comeback win over Villarreal in UEFA Champions League matches on Tuesday. CBS Sports and Yahoo Sports both reported that Paris Saint-Germain secured the home victory through late goals from Vitinha and Fabian Ruiz. The result earned the French team their third victory from three matches in the competition this season. [1][2][3][8][9][11]

In Paris, Vitinha scored from outside the penalty area in the 81st minute before Fabian Ruiz added a fourth goal to seal the win over Barcelona. According to Yahoo Sports, the victory was the second consecutive 4-2 Champions League win for the back-to-back champions under manager Luis Enrique. [1][3]

At Anfield, Liverpool trailed Villarreal 2-0 before recovering to win 4-3. Yahoo Sports reported that 18-year-old winger Rio Ngumoha played a crucial role in the comeback, providing assists as Liverpool claimed their third victory in the tournament this season. One Yahoo Sports report noted that Ngumoha set up three goals, while another stated that he provided both assists for teammate Alexis Mac Allister, who scored twice. [2][3][5][6]

Ngumoha plays as a left winger for Liverpool after previously developing in the youth system at Chelsea. He made his senior Liverpool debut in January 2025 in an FA Cup tie against Accrington Stanley and later became the youngest player in the history of the club to feature in European competition.
