Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur stated on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, that he hopes linebacker Micah Parsons can return to practice next week. ProFootballTalk and Yahoo Sports reported that LaFleur responded, "I sure hope so," when asked about Parsons starting practice. ESPN originally reported the comment, noting that LaFleur had previously given a firm negative response when asked about a potential return timeline. [1][3][5][8]

Parsons suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament on December 14, 2025, according to ProFootballTalk. He currently remains on the reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list while continuing to rehabilitate his knee. The Green Bay Packers have not yet activated his three-week practice window. [1][4]

Once the Packers open the three-week practice window, the team must decide by the end of that period whether to activate Parsons to the active 53-man roster or keep him on the Physically Unable to Perform list for the remainder of the season, ProFootballTalk noted. Parsons missed the team's recent 20-17 loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday, which brought the Packers to a 4-3 record, according to Yahoo Sports. [1][3][4]

Micah Parsons is an outside linebacker for the Green Bay Packers. He played college football for the Penn State Nittany Lions, where he earned consensus All-American honors and was named the Big Ten Linebacker of the Year in 2019. [10]
