Former college guard Kerr Kriisa pleaded guilty to federal wire fraud on Thursday after admitting to demanding $9,000 from a victim in a scheme.

Former college basketball player Kerr Kriisa pleaded guilty on Thursday to one federal count of wire fraud. The Washington Post and Yahoo Sports both reported that Kriisa admitted to demanding $9,000 from a victim as part of a fraud scheme. The conviction follows a plea agreement made in federal court. Kriisa played point guard in college and is 6 feet 3 inches tall. He previously played for four different programs, including the Arizona Wildcats, the West Virginia Mountaineers, the Kentucky Wildcats, and the Cincinnati Bearcats. Associated Press photograph records cited by Yahoo Sports show he was actively playing for Cincinnati in January 2026. [2][7]

Born in Tartu, Estonia, Kriisa competed with Estonian junior national teams before moving to professional basketball in Europe. Before starting his college career in the United States, he played for Lithuanian clubs Prienai CBet and Zalgiris II Kaunas in 2019. [7][9]
