Washington football missing ten players due to injury and illness

The Washington Huskies football team will be missing 10 players for their Friday night road game against the Purdue Boilermakers due to illness and injury, according to Yahoo Sports Top. Quarterback Demond Williams Jr. is among those ruled out for the game. [2]

CBS College Football reported that Williams will miss the game because of a rib injury. Yahoo Sports Top and CBS College Football both report that Elijah Brown will step in as the starting quarterback for the Huskies. CBS College Football described Brown as a junior backup signal caller. [2][7]

Additional roster absences include defensive tackle Kai McClendon and running back Ansu Sanoe, according to Yahoo Sports Top. Sanoe, a freshman, adds to a growing list of injured rushers for Washington as head coach Jedd Fisch attempts to overcome the team's road struggles. [2]
