Seattle is adding the veteran player to address injuries in its running back room, according to CBS NFL and The New York Times. NFL Network first reported that the team planned to add Mixon following his Monday workout, Yahoo Sports reported. [1][2][4][9]

Mixon missed the entire 2025 season due to a foot injury, CBS NFL reported. During the 2024 season, he rushed for over 1,000 yards and scored more than 10 touchdowns. [1]

Joe Mixon was born on July 24, 1996, in Oakley, California. He previously played for the Houston Texans before visiting with Seattle. [12][13]
