The Texas Longhorns lost 27-24 to the Florida Gators on Saturday, marking their second consecutive defeat. Texas entered the season ranked as the No. 1 team in the country but now risks missing the College Football Playoff. As FTMQ Sports reported earlier, the defeat follows a 27-24 loss to Oklahoma the previous week. [1][2][3][5][18]

Following the home loss to Florida, head coach Steve Sarkisian did not rule out making a change at quarterback. Sarkisian stated that the team's offensive performance and every position on the field will undergo evaluation. [2][4][5][12][18]

Media analyst Paul Finebaum criticized Sarkisian's play-calling and management of Manning following the defeat. Finebaum described the Longhorns' season as a disaster and stated that Manning could come to regret his decision to play for Texas. [1][2][9][13]

Manning, an American college football quarterback, joined the Longhorns after attending Isidore Newman School in New Orleans, Louisiana. Finebaum hosts a daily radio show on ESPN Radio and the SEC Network. [13][14][16][17]
